CGB-GFE. Horace Haynes MALTBY, b. June 4, 1834 (Wm.5, Jonathan 4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). m. April 10, 1859, Lucy R. OGDEN, at Groveland, Mich. Res. at Davisburg, Mich. (Records by him). Horace Haynes Maltby wrote that "his grandfather (Jonathan 4) had brothers and sisters; one brother lived in Baldwinsville, one brother in Illinois, and one brother in Baltimore, an Oyster dealer; two of his sons still in the business in 1901. (Note. There is no way of straightening out the above. Numerous errors). Lucy R. Ogden was born in 1840. (T.I. Davisburg, Mich.) Horace Haynes d. Jan. 17, 1925.

        Note.  This date of birth "1844" does not check with the
        record above where her birth is given as "1840."

Mr. F. A. Molby writes: Was she Mrs. Lucy (Ogden) Molby, mentioned in Portrait and Biographical Album of Oakland Co., Mich. The latter was a dau. of Gabriel S. Ogden and Sarah E. Egbert Osborn (sic.) and a sister to John D. Ogden who was b. in Groveland Twp. Sept. 11, 1845.(?)

I judge Horace H. Maltby is the following. (Some Molby farm locations in Atlas of Oakland Co., Mich., pub. by F. W. Beers & Co., 36 Vessey St., N.Y. 1872).

"In Groveland twp. Town 5 NR 8 E.H.Molby. 120 acres in section 26.
In Springfield twp. Town 4 NR 8 East.  Section 7.
        H. Molby, 40 acres in SE corner, section 8  H. Molby, 42
        acres in SW corner."

mother, Lucy Ogden, was dead by 1870, and probably her father
        married a second wife.
